  • Meal Preparation: Three nutritious meals daily plus snacks, prepared in our kitchen
  • Housekeeping: Regular cleaning of resident rooms and common areas
  • Laundry Services: Complete laundry care including washing, drying, and folding personal items
  • Linen Service: Fresh bedding and towels provided regularly

Medication Management

Our licensed nursing staff ensures safe and accurate medication administration:

  • Medication Storage: Secure storage of all medications in compliance with regulations
  • Distribution: Timely administration of medications according to physician orders
  • Monitoring: Regular monitoring for side effects and medication effectiveness
  • Coordination: Communication with physicians and pharmacies regarding medication needs
  • Self-Administration Support: For residents capable of managing their own medications, we provide supervision and reminders

Health Monitoring and Nursing Care

  • Licensed Nursing: At least 8 hours per week of licensed nursing support per 30 residents
  • Health Assessments: Regular monitoring of vital signs and health status
  • Physician Coordination: Communication with healthcare providers and coordination of medical appointments
  • Emergency Response: 24-hour staff trained in emergency procedures and first aid
  • Care Plan Updates: Regular review and updating of individual care plans based on changing needs

Meals and Nutrition

Good nutrition is essential for health and well-being:

  • Three Daily Meals: Nutritious, well-balanced meals prepared fresh daily
  • Snacks: Healthy snacks available throughout the day
  • Special Diets: Accommodation of physician-ordered therapeutic diets (low-sodium, diabetic, etc.)
  • Dietary Preferences: Consideration of religious, cultural, and personal food preferences
  • Nutritional Monitoring: Quarterly review by physician or dietitian to ensure nutritional adequacy
  • Hydration Support: Encouragement and assistance with proper hydration

Social and Recreational Activities

24-Hour Protective Oversight

  • Staffed 24/7: Trained caregivers on-site at all times
  • Safety Monitoring: Regular checks and supervision to prevent accidents
  • Emergency Preparedness: Staff trained in emergency procedures and equipped to respond quickly
  • Security: Secure facility with controlled access for resident safety
  • Family Communication: Immediate notification of families in case of emergencies or significant changes

Important Note on Scope of Services

Tranquil Grove provides residential care services within our licensing capacity. We do not provide skilled nursing services such as IV therapy, ventilator care, or other intensive medical interventions. Residents requiring hospitalization or skilled nursing beyond our capacity would need to be transferred to an appropriate healthcare facility.

We cannot admit or retain residents who require physical or chemical restraints or who pose serious harm to themselves or others, in accordance with Missouri regulations (19 CSR 30-86.047).

Additional services such as physical therapy or specialized medical care can be arranged through third-party providers at additional cost.

Individualized Service Plans (ISP)

Every resident receives a personalized care plan that includes:

  • Assessment of Needs: Comprehensive evaluation of care requirements
  • Personal Preferences: Documentation of likes, dislikes, and personal routines
  • Care Goals: Specific objectives for maintaining or improving quality of life
